About the Event

Black History Month is a time to celebrate and honour the legacy of Black people. It is about recognizing the contributions of Black people throughout history, that were often neglected. Throughout February, this celebration provides a chance to learn more about Black cultures, achievements and success.

FrancoNoir.e, in collaboration with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Ontario, will be hosting a virtual event on Racism & Mental Health on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The purpose of the event is to discuss the effects of racism on mental health. Lawrence Blake from the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) will deliver a session on the impact of racism on mental health where we will learn about what we can do to cope with the impact of racism on mental health and how we can work together to change things for the better.
